Pet Therapy

pet therapy

Healthcare professionals are discovering the positive differences made in people's lives when they spend time with a favorite pet. Pets have a special way of showing unconditional love and uplifting spirits, no matter what the circumstances.

Interaction with animals promotes many therapeutic benefits, such as:

  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Easing physical and emotional pain
  • Improving memory
  • Reducing stress

Hope volunteer pets are professionally reviewed prior to acceptance into the pet therapy program. Whether at home, in an assisted living facility, in a nursing home or in a Hope Hospice House, volunteer pets and their owners create smiles, laughter, and peace of mind for all involved.

We also help care for patient's own pets through the Pet Peace of Mind program.
