Annual National Bereavement Teleconference
March 24, 2010
Hope HealthCare Services will host the Hospice Foundation of America’s 17th Annual National Bereavement Teleconference, “Cancer and End-of-Life Care.”
HFA’s 2010 teleconference will focus on the complexities of working with end-stage cancer patients and their families when transitioning from curative treatment to palliative care. The range of physical, psychological and spiritual reactions that cancer patients may have will be examined. Teleconference panelists will assess the varied and individual ways that families and other caregivers cope, such as ambivalence, anger or guilt. There will be a discussion regarding overcoming occupational stress.
Hope will provide continuing education credits at no cost.
A panel of local experts will address the issues and respond to questions from the audience immediately following the national teleconference.
