Hospice at Home
"My husband Bob had hospice care at home. It was much more comfortable having him there - where we both wanted to be. I couldn’t have done it if Hospice hadn’t been there.”
Hope Hospice cares for hundreds of people each day, and more than 90 percent are cared for in the place they call home. Receiving hospice care at home enables our patients to live in familiar, comfortable surroundings. Family members and loved ones enjoy peace of mind, knowing they have the full support of the Hope Hospice care team.
If you receive hospice care at home, our staff will come frequently to check you, monitor your medications and provide expert help for your family members or caregivers. We can help provide special equipment in the home, like a hospital bed or oxygen. If your condition changes or you need urgent help, you will always have someone to call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
When families need a break from caregiving duties, Hope volunteers are available to sit with patients to chat or engage in a special activity. Respite care helps caregivers take time to rest, relax and recover. In some cases, patients may need to stay in a Hope Hospice House if their care needs are more intense.
