Hope Connections: Special Care in Hendry and Glades Counties
Support at Home
It’s easy to take for granted the small tasks we do each day - until we get older. Cooking, cleaning and even bathing may become a challenge. Getting to medical appointments, the pharmacy or grocery store is stressful for those who can no longer drive. Many elderly adults must choose between moving to a healthcare facility or living in their home. Hope Connections helps by providing special care to the seniors of Hendry and Glades counties, including:
- Nutritious meals, either home-delivered or at social meal centers
- Transportation to physician's offices, meal centers, shopping and essential appointments
- A Personal Emergency Response system for safety
- Homemaking and chores
- Personal care, help with dressing and personal hygiene
- Counseling
- Medical equipment and supplies
- Help for the caregiver
