Hope Timeline

1979 - Volunteers form Hope Hospice in Fort Myers

1981
- Incorporated as a not-for-profit agency

1984   - Certified as a Medicare and Medicaid provider

1989 - First Rainbow Trails camp for bereaved children

1991 - Samira K. Beckwith joins Hope as President and CEO
Cape Coral office opened

1993  - Lehigh Acres office opened

1995 - First Hope Hospice House and administrative offices open in Fort Myers
Twice is Nice resale store opened

1996 - Counseling Center opened

2001 - Second Hope Hospice House opened in Cape Coral
Buckhead Ridge office opened

2002 - Bonita Springs office opened

2003 - Received the Pinnacle Award

Hope HealthCare Services is a registered d/b/a of Hope Hospice and Community Services Inc., a not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3)-status community-based agency providing care and services in Lee, Hendry, Glades, Collier, Charlotte, Highlands, Hardee, Polk and DeSoto counties. Hope Hospice, licensed by the State of Florida since 1984, is a program of Hope HealthCare Services, nationally recognized as a leader in providing high-quality, innovative care. Hope Hospice is accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program, the national leader in improving the quality of care in the home-care industry, and is a recipient of the nationally acclaimed Circle of Life Award for excellence and innovation in patient care.

Hope is registered with the Florida Department of Consumer Services, registration number SC-01911. Please be advised that 100% of the donations received benefit Hope and are not directed to other organizations or entities.
